I searched google using scantron +884 +buy OR purchase and I had

pack of 500. The site instructed me, as a new member, to place my
order by calling Toll Free: 1-888-997-9098.
NOTE: I am unsure if there is any difference between the 884-E and the
884-ES. It is also unclear to me if the prices listed are in US or
Canadian dollars, but I am reasonably confident these are Canadian
prices. Based on today's conversion rate, the price per package would
be $59.23, or 7.5% less than ordering from Scantron directly, listed
below.
The Distribution Centre describes itself as follows:

searched "all forms" and found the 884-E on page 4.

Hello again toliverj01,
I'm truly sorry for any misunderstanding and that the answer I
provided was not what you expected. However, my answer directly
answers the question you posted:
"Where can I buy Scantron type forms that are exactly the 884-E?"
Both of my sources sell "EXACTLY" the Scantron forms you requested.
You also did not specify that the source must be US only. The Canadian
source would be happy to sell into the USA, I'm sure, and at some
savings due to the advantageous dollar conversion rate.
Had you asked the question as you have in your request for
clarification:
" I was trying to find a totally generic version of the
884-E, because of Scantron's very high prices. The cost of a pack of
500 forms has gone from $30.00 to $64.00 over a ten year period."
I then would have known that you were not interested in the official
Scantron product and that cost was an issue. Neither of these
qualifications were present in the question I answered.
I have performed a new search for generic +scantron +forms and found:
ST8000-82 100 ITEM ANSWER SHEET WRITE-IN Header [A-E W/ T-F OPTION]
Compatible with SCANTRON # 19009

This might work as a substitute for the 884-E, though I suspect it is
a replacment for the 882. Please view their pdf here to verify:

You can email them at clearview@omrform.com to see if they might have
a clone for the 884-E that is not listed on their website.
I was unable to find any other generic replacement for the 884-E
