Hello - and thanks for your question. The most comprehensive online listing of piano teachers all over London is at: http://www.uk-piano.org/piano_teachers/london.html Most of the teachers there give a reasonable amount of individual detail, e.g. what kind of music they teach and/or whether they specialise in teaching children. Note that teachers who say things like 'teach grades 1-8' will be expecting to teach classical piano to children. People often find a piano teacher by asking at their local library. A few London libraries have information of this kind online, for example: Islington: http://www.libraries.islington.gov.uk/inform/index/ALL/0/P.html Kingston:(type 'piano' in the search box): http://www.kingston.gov.uk/Council/CommunityInformation/CommunityInformation.htm As well as using the phone book to contact your local library for help, you can check which libraries have information of this kind on the net at: http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/square/ac940/weblibs.html There is a small list of music teachers including piano teachers at: http://www.hybridstudios.co.uk/tutor.html And there are some individual teachers with their own sites who show up in these Google search results: ://www.google.co.uk/search?q=piano+teacher+london&hl=en&lr=&cr=countryUK|countryGB&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&start=30&sa=N Good luck with finding the right piano teacher. Please feel free to ask if any of this needs clarification. Regards - Leli | |
