The text on the back of the painting is German and should read correctly: "Copie nach No. 1560 der Königl. Gemälde-Galerie zu Dresden, 1912", with "Copie" being an older Form of today's German term "Kopie". In English, this would be: "Copy after No. 1560 of the Royal Painting Gallery at Dresden, 1912". So it contains, unfortunately, no hint who the copying artist might have been. Scriptor |
