Clifford: There are many terms of service for freight payment. An excellent reference for these terms is: http://www.public.iastate.edu/~purchasing/bi_terms.htm You may wish to review the following as well: http://www.ultraform.com/Freight.asp Another: http://dafis.ucdavis.edu/help/whatisit/fob.cfm The interesting thing about freight invoices is that they are due 10 days after completion of the service (generally the billing date is used to start the 10 days). Many companies who have extensive inbound freight bills, use a freight service to review the bills, confirm their accurace, and approve them for payment. If I can clarify the information provided, please don't hesitate to ask. seedy Search Terms on Google: "freight terms" |
