Hi, Shilpasrini !

You've obviously looked at the University's own site at:

http://www.unipune.ernet.in/indexout.html

but their computer science course seems to be a post-graduate Master's
degree.

The syllabus for the University's Master's Course in Computer
Management can be found through:

http://in.geocities.com/anand_kap/

where there is an email button for further enquiries.

They also have an Interdisciplinary School of Scientific Computing
whose syllabus is posted at:

http://www.unipune.ernet.in/dept/issc/syllabus.html

Again it appears to be a Master's course. Indeed, a click through the
University's website shows that many of the main faculties take
post-graduate students only, and this may be the source of your
problem.

Like many University's these days, Pune University approves degrees
which are studied through other institutions and accredited by the
University. A list can be found at:

http://www.unipune.ernet.in/doc/affilcol.html

One such is VIIT - Vidya Pratishan's Institute of Information
Technology - at:

http://www.viitindia.org/Academic/undergraduate.htm

They offer a BE-Computers which is directly awarded by the University
of Pune.

"Bachelor of Computer Engineering
Bachelor of Computer Engineering by the University of Pune is one of
most sought-after undergraduate programme by budding engineers. The
programme has a good mix of computer hardware and software. It not
only makes you a programmer but also teaches you all about hardware
handling as well, which aids in understanding of implementations of
the various software applications. "

Syllabus for the first year is at:

http://www.viitindia.org/Academic/fy-egg.htm

and the second year is outlined at:

http://www.viitindia.org/Academic/comp-engg.htm

They can be contacted at:

VIIT, Vidyanagari, MIDC Resi. Zone, Baramati
Pune, Maharashtra, India - 413 133
Tel: (02112) 43325, 43475-83
Email: webmaster@viitindia.org

Their web site is current and looks very professional - which is a
good sign when you plan to study computer science !

Another associated college is PICT - The Pune Institute of Computer
Technology -established in 1983, affiliated to University of Pune,
Pune-Satara Road, Dhankawadi. PUNE-411043 (India)

Their Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering) is a four year
course, with the syllabus for year four to be found at:

http://www.pictsctr.edu/compbe.htm

More on the structure and syllabus should be at :

http://www.pictsctr.edu/struct.htm

but the page is unavailable when I try to access it. An out of date
schedule at:

http://www.pictsctr.edu/class_schedule.htm

gives some idea of the time table and requirements. Their announcement
of the table tennis results at:

http://www.pictsctr.edu/whatsnew.htm

is up-to-date, however , and more seriously includes announcements of
prizes won by students for software development and hardware
development.

They say: "This is a pioneering department in the college. The first
course in B.E. Computer Engineering was started in 1983 with a
sanction capacity of 60 students. Subsequently in 1984 the intake
capacity was doubled to 120. Subsequently M.E. Computer Engineering
was started in the year 2000. ....

The department is known for excellent results, placements, various
projects from industry. "

http://www.pictsctr.edu/compdept.htm

The Vishwakarma Institute of Technology also offers an approved BE
(computers), see:

http://www.vit.edu

But again many pages were down or inaccessible. Their contact details
are:

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, 666, Upper Indiranagar,
Bibwewadi, Pune, Maharashtra, India- 411 037.
Phone no : +91 - 20 - 428 15 94 / 428 22 94
Fax : +91 - 20 - 428 59 26
email : sysadmin@vit.edu

Some information on the college is at:

http://www.vit.edu/departmet.htm

I think that the BE degree is probably only available through one of
these associated colleges, and then the master's degree can be studied
directly at the University of Pune.

Good luck.

I should have added my search terms:

"pune university syllabus BE"

Also I've just found an "request for further information" link on VIIT's site at:

http://www.viitindia.org/Academic/request.htm

Are you planning on studying in Pune? It looks like a good place to be.
