I'd appreciate if there is any information on how to access Eurosport
TV (particularly tennis coverage) in the USA. Is it available on Dish
network or any cable networks, or would you have to put up a big
C-band dish? I live in the Chicago area and don't have much time for
TV-watching, but would be interested in non-US-centric tennis etc

According to Eurosport, the network is not available in the U.S.:

"Eurosport is available in 62 countries and these are all members or
associated members of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Eurosport
does not purchase the rights for any other countries and so is not
available in Asia or the USA for example.

"However, Eurosportnews will be available, in the near future, to
countries all over the world. And as you already know, sporting events
are given in-depth coverage, including LIVE commentary and results on
the websites." (1)

Eurosportnews is the European equivelant of CNNSI or ESPNEWS.

Note that audio feeds of both Eurosport and Eurosportnews are supposed
to be available at the Eurosport home page (, but
when I tried them, only the Eurosportnews feed was working.

You might want to check out Fox Sports World
(, which airs Sky Sports News
several times a day, as well as lots of soccer, rugby, and the like.
It is available on both Dish Network and DirecTV. (2)
