Hi patrick,

That's a lot of data!

Would you consider accepting as an answer to your question the total
figures for each state and federal?

If you wanted to, you could then post separate questions requesting a
departmental breakdown for each of those entities.

In answer to both of your questions:

1: We are most interested in the state government data for NSW and
VIC. Ideally we would have the number of staff for the top 5 or 6
government institutions in each of these states, and then a rest
group. Federal is a second priority.

2. In terms of defining FTS: if we understand the total number of
staff with an accuracy of plus or minus 10 % that would be precise
enough. I guess we therefore don't need to go to that level of detail
in our analysis.

...........and how do you wish to have determined an FTE. Federally
an FTE is 7 hours 21 minutes,( 7.35hrs) the full work week for a
federal PS. In the states it could be different, yes?? no??
