My scanner was doing some strange things. When I told it to scan to
Email it gives me a solid black box, then if I diddle with it I get a
message that it does not support Outlook Express. I went through a
long process with Epson support and the patch they told me to download
goes to a blank page with a little square outlined in the upper left
hand corner. The square has a red square in the upper left corner, a
green circle on the right side, and a point up blue triangle at the
bottom. Epson says this is not their problem. Something else is doing
it. Does any of this make sense to you?

CaptDave,

Are you requiring that a researcher should solve your scanner problem,
or are you wanting us to explain the meaning of the red square/green
circle/blue triangle icon?

If the latter, it would be very helpful if you'd post the link that
Epson gave you, so that maybe we can see what kind of material the
page is supposed to contain.

Thanks!
