Good Day,

Regardless of which type of domain name you register, you will be
unable to use it the same day. The reason being that the Domain Name
Server (DNS) table has to be updated world wide to your web space:

A domain name is simply an alias to a number. For example, my domain
name is www.bytechcanada.net, which represents 208.155.76.224. When
you register a domain, you have to specify the actual DNS number that
the user will be sent to when they enter your registered name.

The only way I can think of where you could use your domain name the
same day is if you bought it from someone who already registered, and
used his or her web space as specified originally. You can redirect
it to your space, but that will take 1-3 days in most cases (note that
if your area has i.e. two major internet providers with their own DNS
tables, users accessing the net with the first and second internet
provider might be able to use the domain name sooner with one than the
other).

Having said that, the best place I found for registering domains is
www.namesbeyond.com I have used them in the past and have had very
positive experience in doing so. They don't however offer the
registry of all domain name types. If you find that they cannot
register the domain name type you are looking for, here is a website
with some other alternatives: www.internic.net

There you will find a listing of registrars by country, language
supported, or alphabetical listing. Internic also offers a link for
complaints regarding any of the registrars listed... it sounds like a
great quality control system. :)

Hope this helped. :)
