Just to confirm, You are talking about taking part in the Fivemegs
Experiment and you have or are appling for your NOV?

Yes, I have not yet applied for my NoV but I wish to know whether the
JST 135 can be used on 5 MHz. As supplied by the manufacturers, it
will only transmit on the previously authorised amateur frequencies.

Have you tried the general coverage mod located at
http://www.mods.dk/mods.php3?radio=other&model=jst-135&selectid=1420#1420
? I can't find any specific numbers but I think this will allow
transmit on all frequencies recieved buy this unit. There are two
mods, try the code first before craking the case and cutting that
jumper. It appears that the code will reset when you reset the power
on the unit.

Remember to use a dummy load when testing.

Answer is really given at the website quoted; identifying the website
is the clever bit! A satisfactory result.
