I would like to know of any doctors, hospitals, clinics or university programs in California or Nevada that are currently using new treatments for depression such as hormone therapy, the use of vagal nerve pacemakers, and transcranial magnetic stimulation or other magnetic therapy. I need to know specific names, addresses and phone numbers, and whether they are taking new patients. (I submitted this question earlier, but I had set up an account with the incorrect e-mail address and used "klynne" for my nickname with a $25 price. I don't know if you received it. If so, please cancel that account, and just answer this question. Thank you. |

Hi Klynne1, I'm not sure what happened to your original question, so I'll just leave some comments instead. You might be in touch with the NAMI in Santa Cruz and they may have a list of referrals for you in California at least. Here are the phone numbers in case your researcher would like to call on Monday. http://www.namiscc.org/namilinksfolder/SC_phone_nos.htm http://www.namiscc.org/newsletters/Sept01/depression.htm This article lists John Barry, M.D. at Stanford University's Depression Clinic as one of the vagus nerve stimulator investigators: http://www.psychiatrictimes.com/p0104vagus.html Best of luck to you, V vagus/vagal stimulator+depression |
