Hi, Yankee!

I am certain that your song is Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll, Part 2,"
whose lyrics consist of various forms of "Hey," and which is very
drum-driven. This song is often played at NFL games in celebration of
a touchdown. I've heard it at hockey games, too.

You can listen to the song here:

Wild Bill's Chiefs Page: Touchdown Song
http://www.wildbillschiefs.com/downloads/tdsong.mp3

You can buy this song, along with many other glam classics, on a
greatest-hits collection called "Ultimate Gary Glitter."

My Google search strategy:

"rock and roll part 2"

If this is not the song you're thinking of, or if any of the links do
not function, please do not hesitate to ask for clarification.

Best regards,
