I need to find documentation (Microsoft or, possibly, third party documentation from sources that have actually done this) telling me how to build a service that can recognize and respond to the LDAP protocol on a Windows 2000 computer. I'm not actually interested in building a directory service but just a service that can recognize and process LDAP protocol on an arbitrary port. I also need to be able to determine the credentials of the caller. |

Twit, Windows 2000 Active Directory already includes an X509 (LDAP) interface. |

err.. I was probably unclear.. X.509 is not an LDAP interface.. AD includes both X.509 and LDAP interfaces. |
