Hello bakshi01,

And thanks for your question!

Musical instruments are available wholesale from both manufacturers
directly and distributors. Often, they have local representatives that
are independent manufacturers reps and sell a number of different
"lines" of equipment and accessories into a well defined territory.

The major association (in the US) for all of these people is called
NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchandisers and they have
two conventions yearly, with the larger of the two occuring in January
and in either LA or Anaheim and a smaller, summer show genrally in
Nashville. You must be an industry professional or a guest of a
manufactuer to attend. You can read all about them here:
http://www.namm.com . Should you decide to become a member, they have
a private list of members and exhibitors that you will be able to
access.

There is also a major international show each year in Frankfurt
Germany called Musikmesse, this year March 5th - 9th. A translated
information page is avialble here:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www1.musikmesse.de/&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dmusikmesse%26num%3D50%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8

Another translated page listing al lof the exhibiting and member
companies can be found here:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.musikzentrum.de/&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dmusikmesse%26num%3D50%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8
. This is a great resource for finding international manufacturers and
distributors.
