I'm looking for a business directory listing vendor for the United
Kingdom that can provide highly granulated business lists (including
allowing me to search by postal code, metropolitan area and the like,
plus by industry and the like, and size of the business and the like)
that would include addresses and phone numbers and charge me on a
per-record result basis -- like InfoUSA does in the United States. 
InfoUSA would be my model vendor (if only they did work in the UK, but
they don't so there) I am looking to spend no more than USD$500 for
each batch of 1,000 records and would prefer to be able to purchase in
small increments.  Dun & Bradstreet is NOT an acceptable vendor for my
firm and is not an acceptable answer.

I have to check these out in detail to see which one really meets my
needs, but based on an initial review of these suggested vendors, one
or more of these should work out great!  I've been looking for this
information for months and this was FAR more cost-effective than
continuing to look myself!!!
