Question ID: 65972
Two parts to the question:

1. I would like to know the number of Christian Churches in the
following countries:
USA
United Kingdom
Australia

Bonus points if you can also find out the number in these countries
(but not essential to answer the question):
South Africa
New Zealand
Canada

2. I would like some statistics on the break down of sizes of
Christian Churches, for example, 20% of Christian Churches have 50 -
70 members, 40% 71- 100 members, etc. This can be specific to either
the USA or Australia (no other country is acceptable).

When you say "Christian Church," are you referring to

1)the denomination known as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
http://www.disciples.org/,

2)all churches that consider themselves Christian, OR

3)churches that meet certain theological standards for you to classify
them as Christian?

If it is choice 3, which denominations or types of churches do you
consider to be Christian? (The reason I ask this is because some
people view Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and some other groups,
sometimes even Catholics, as being non-Christian).

Thanks!

Thanks for asking for the clarification. I'm referring to your 2nd
option, "2)all churches that consider themselves Christian".

This won't help you much with the non-USA numbers, but by the end of
this week the Glenmary Research Center is due to release a
comprehensive report on U.S. churches. It should have most of the
figures you need.
