Hi ciao: (that kinda sounds funny...) ;-) The over-riding conversion that you want to use is: 1000 meters (m) = 1 kilometer (km) Therefore, 10 meters = 10/1000 kilometers = .01 kilometers. To put the same thing in the terms you stated above: 10 m = .01 km For more on metric to metric conversions, see: Unit Conversions http://www.towson.edu/~ladon/unit.html Conversions of Measurements http://www.delta.edu/tlc/TLCStudySupport/mathforscience/Conversions/conversions.html Thanks for using Google Answer! websearcher-ga Search Strategy: "metric to metric" conversions ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=%22metric+to+metric%22+conversions | |
