I am trying to find basic biographical information on Yoram Sheftel. 
He is a lawyer in Israel who defended John Demjanjuk in the late 1980s
and early 1990s.  I've found a lot of information in newspapers, but I
lack basic biographical information like birthdate, birthplace, and
education.

In an article by Barbara Amiel:
  
“Sheftel, the son of Ukrainian Jews, was a hippie in his youth,
dropping out of school at 14, going to Elat where he loitered about
with foreigners.  Self-taught, he took his exams at 17 and went to the
Hebrew University.”
