On June 24, 1987, the Flying Karamazov Brothers and other New
Vaudevillians performed Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors on the PBS show
"Live From Lincoln Center". As per the rules of that show, it was
aired live, and then PBS stations could air it again once within the
seven days following. It is not available for sale from PBS, the
Flying Karamazov Brothers (who themselves only have a 2nd-generation
copy a friend gave them), or Lincoln Center.

Eric Scharf (demiurge@speakeasy.org), one of the few people I've found
online who claims to have a copy, has never responded to my email
asking if I could get a duplicate from him, so please don't bother
telling me about his page.

I hear rumors that perhaps the New York Public Library has a copy
floating around in their system, or maybe some college universities. I
have so far been unable to confirm this.

Think of the fee on this question as a finder's fee. I'm looking for a
copy of the show, preferably with the prologue and intermission
intact.

The LFLC listing for the show is here:

Likewise, elsewhere.org is my domain. I know there's someone there
who's also looking for this; that would be me. *grin*

Hi Hades,

WGBH, the Boston PBS affiliate, has a program called the Ralph Lowell
Society, with a video lending

library. The Comedy of Errors: Live from Lincoln center is available
as a part of this service. You

must be a member of the Ralph Lowell society to take advantage of
this, To get more information about

the Ralph Lowell Society or become a member, contact
ellen_frank@wgbh.org or call 617-300-3900. This

does, however, require donating a large amount of money to WGBH, to
the tune of at least $1,500.

If this doesn't meet your needs, and you are content to simply get a
chance to see this video again,

you may be able to visit your local library and request an
interlibrary loan from the library of

Congress, who has this recording available in their collection.
