I need to export MS-Excel Data to SQL Database using ASP ? How do I go
about it :)

Please do not suggest the Jet-ole-DB to do this, as it has limitation
regarding data type, and the sheet name is fixed :(

I am looking for a way out or a in-expensive component, which could do
the work me :)

Hi Dave... the solution would work, if I have the complete rights over
the server :(

Unfortunately.. I am using a Shared Hosting account, and our ISP does
not give us the complete rights :(

The do however allow us to install us components, which we could use
to solve our problem :)

You can use the excel object model to open the spreadsheet and read
the data.  then its just a simple matter of inserting the data into
the database

Using Jet oleDb to access Excel data you can specify the sheet name.
And you can operate datatype casting using vbscript in ASP.
