Question ID: 66608
I am a stockbroker with one of the big firms in NYC. Many of my
clients should be selling options against their blue chip stocks, but
I can't convince them. Our internal brochures do not present this
topic very well.

Where could I find academic studies, or other convincing (third-party)
marketing materials so my clients can see these option strategies
really work?

A paragraph or two would be fine---graphs or charts would be even
better.
Thanks !!

I am confusing about the topic to search, can you clarify?
I am not sure about what are you looking for. If you must write an
article about this, how it would be called or entitled ?

Thanks for asking.

No. I am not writing an article. Rather, I would like to find journal
articles or even sales brochures written by *other* people. Best
sources would be studies by researchers or finance professors which
prove the value of this strategy (i.e., writing covered call options
against a stock portfolio).

I could then put together my own sales brochure with the thesis,
"Here's Objective Proof From A Third Party That This Strategy
Works...Not Just Me Trying To Get Your Business."

Thanks. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

As a non-stock-owner to whom the term "stock market" still brings up
images of mooing cattle, I am far from qualified to answer your
question, but I did find something that may be of interest.

The site linked below has a very nice overview of covered calls (click
"What are covered calls" at the bottom of the page.) There's also an
article on "Covered Call Trading Tips." As a novice, I found these
articles to be informative and intelligible. Perhaps your clients
could benefit from something along these lines.
