Good morning, Tombolini! As I'm sure you're well aware, a logo is often considered a company's "identity", the one thing customers are going to remember. A company specializing in logo creation is the best place to start looking for ideas. The LogoFactory offers an online Flash gallery depicting logos they have created, in order to give you an idea of what they can do. They are also a "certified clipart free zone", which, while somewhat odd sounding, is meant to assure clients that their logos will be original, not slapped together from existiong clipart. [http://www.thelogofactory.com/] LogoDesign Online asks potential clients to look at a few samples and fill out a brief survey to determine what will suit their needs. Be careful, the site requires Flash and can be a bit slow to load. LogoWorks calls itself "Simply the best", offering 72 hour turn around times from logo conception to first versions. They offer a money back guarantee as well - if you're not happy with what they're doing, you can request a refund (minus a $50 service fee) any time before you ask for the first round of revisions. (Note: This site also requires Shockwave/Flash) [http://www.logoworks.com/] A bit slower on the turnaround, Jenique Graphic Design offers logo design starting at $100 per image. Her extensive portfolio includes logos and business cards, and she's not coy about pricing - all pricing is listed within her site. [http://www.jenique.com/logodesign.htm] Hope this helps you find the logo that's right for you! Good luck with the new brandname! Best regards, missy-ga | |

Hey there Tombolini, Seeing as you left the question very open ended this comment may be nothing you expected. I would just begin doodling, start with a couple of lines and go from there. If you actually have no idea what you want your logo to look like i would suggest pick a primitive shape and base it around that, a square, triangle, circle, etc. You could also base it around the name of the company. Waste paper, it's cheap. After you have a basic logo, you should take that to a graphic designer in your area, they will use your basic logo as a guide and make a pro-looking version. If you can't take it to a graphic designer maybee a high-school art or design/tech class. You could approach one of the teachers and suggest that you would donate some money to their department in exchange for each of the students to create a logo. You wouldn't have to pay them much, and the teachers would be happy to give the students a project that they can see the direct result. The other factor that comes into play is who/what your company is/does. It makes a big difference in the logo design if you are an investment company or a music label. If you would like some more ideas, please post what your company is about, who it is geared towards, etc. and the answers.google.com community can assist in the process. |

Tombolini, Ask for bids on your logo on "Elance" (like "freelance") Professional Services on eBay. Elance lists thousands of design shops offering logo design and other graphic services. http://www.elance.com/c/home/main/index.pl?&rid=C62J Here are the basic steps: 1. Register as a buyer on eBay: it's free. Use the "Join Now" link near the top right of the main Elance page. Note that you have certain responsibilities as an eBay buyer, so be sure to read all of eBay's user agreements before you submit a project for bids. 2. After registering, go back to the main Elance page and click on the "Browse marketplace categories:" > Logos link. 3. Browse through the list for providers whose logo style appeals to you. Check out their work examples and read their reviews from satisfied (or unsatisfied) customers. 4. Using Elance's online form, post a description of your project to all, some, or one design service provider. You will probably get higher quality responses if you only select providers who specifically do logo design. Be as specific as possible in your project description: you can preview it before your final submission. 5. Submit your project and wait for those bids to roll in. Hope this helps, huntsman-ga |

Ideas should be all over your company and in your employees and customers heads, you should be overflowing with ideas, the question is really what face do you wanto put on your company, and that would depend on what the company was till now and what you want it to be in the future. Since your not the type of person to do it, find someone in your company to do it, it's a fun thing for allot of people, ask me?... Note: most great logos were created by their ceo's. |
