SOME YEARS AGO. HOW CAN I FIND WHAT BANK HOLDS THIS OLD FINANIAL
INSTITUTE'S ACCOUNTS?

This documentation of a 2001 case before the Superior Court of Nash
County, North Carolina, contains information that Unity Bank & Trust
Co. was taken over by Triangle Bank:

"(...) ill-fated loans that Triangle Bank (successor to Unity Bank and
Trust Company) made(...)"

Triangle Bank again has been acquired by Centura Bank, as this
document by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of
North Carolina shows:

"(...) Centura Bank and the following financial institutions acquired
via merger by Centura Bank: Triangle Bank (...) Unity Bank & Trust
Co."

I can't imagine any difficulties arising from the fact that the
successor company of the originally Massachusetts-based banks Unity
and Triangle has its headquarter in North Carolina.
