I am looking for the song title and performer for this 80's song but
can't find this information anywhere I've looked. Here are the
lyrics:
Well, I've seen so many things, I've been all over the world.
Well, I've had ups and downs and (?did it all?) for awhile.
I thought I knew everything between the bad and the good,
I guess I was wrong because I misunderstood about girls.
Girls
Well, when I was young my daddy sat down with me.
He said a good life is hard if you don't know what you need.
Well, I guess he was right because the way that it's been,
There's still one thing I just can't understand and that's girls.
Chorus>
They want you to tell them that you love them. Girls.
They're soft and they're warm when you hug them. Girls.
They'll tease you and hurt you when you need them. Girls.
They'll cry when you say that you'll leave them.
<end chorus
Tell her what I told ya, tell me what she tells you, tell her what you
want to.
Well, I've been so many places I just shouldn't be,
But then it felt so good, but it was torturing me.
They say you can't live without 'em, What can you live with?
I'm just one man but I'm shaking a fist at those girls.
>repeat chorus<
Tell her that I love her, tell her I don't love her, tell her what you
want to.
I Love girls...>chorus repeated 2 more times<
I have tried most of the lyrics sites on the web I can find and I've
tried local DJ's, with no success. I remember hearing it in the early
to mid 80's. The lead singer is male (obviously) with a noticeable
accent who rolls some of his r's. I believe there is more than one
singer. The song is fast paced and would fall into the rock/pop
category. I have some suspicion that it may be a song from a movie
soundtrack, but I haven't had any luck looking there either.
Can anyone identify this for me?
