Res-Q 1250, billed as "The World's Purest, most Potent and most
Powerful EPA/DHA Marine Oil," is manufactured by N3 Oceanic. A great
deal of information about this product is available on the N3
homepage:

http://www.n3inc.com/

You can inquire about Res-Q 1250 by calling N3 Oceanic's toll-free
number, 1-800-26-ALIVE, or by emailing mutualmedia@erols.com (both the
phone number and the email are listed in the Web site linked above.)

The product was formulated by Dr. Tim Shields, as detailed in this
interesting article:

For a source of information unrelated to the sales site, here is a
statement from Dr. Philippe Szapary, Assistant Professor of
Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania:

"Res-Q 1250 is a brand name for a concentrated fish oil capsule.
Marine fish oils found in cold water marine fish such as salmon,
sardines, herring and to a lesser extent tuna contain two long chain
Omega-3 fatty acids called Eicosapentaenoic Acid(EPA) and
Docosahexaenoic Acid(DHA). These two fatty acids, found in Res-Q 1250,
have been shown in studies to reduce serum triglycerides and protect
patients with pre-existing heart disease (angina, previous heart
attack, bypass, angioplasty) from having another cardiac event. For my
patients with high triglycerides, I recommend fish oils (3-9 capsules
per day taken in three doses) as adjunct to prescription lowering
medications. For heart attack prevention in high risk patients, I
recommend eating fish 2-3 times per week. If a patient does not or
cannot eat fish, then I recommend 2-3 capsules of fish oil taken with
a meal."

My search strategy in locating this data consisted of various
combinations of "rescue 1250" (not successful,) "omega-3," "fish oil,"
"capsules," "cholesterol," and finally (on a hunch) "res-q 1250,"
which led me to the N3 Oceanic site.

I hope this information is useful. If anything in my answer is not
clear, or if any of the links do not function, please do not hesitate
to ask for clarification.

Best wishes,
pinkfreud
