I am looking for an article that I read about Apple Computer, Inc (NasdaqNM:AAPL) a couple of years ago (most likely between the years 1996 - 2000). The premise of the article was to chart the "Apple Effect" by looking at all companies that were spawned from former Apple employees. I believe the article used several puns like "The Apple Tree" or "seeds" either in the text of the article or in the title. I thought at first it may have come from Inc. magazine, but I haven't had any luck searching their database. It still may have come from there or maybe one of those many new economy magazines that have since folded. Can you find this article either online or at least find out the magazine, the date, the author and the issue? |

The article that you're referring to is "The Apple Tree," published in the August 1993 issue of Inc. Magazine. You can read it here: http://www.inc.com/magazine/19930801/3694.html I think that this answered your question. If you need clarifciation, please request for it. Search Strategy: I searched Lexis-Nexis with the terms: "Apple Tree" seeds company. Once I located the article, I searched Inc.'s website for the title name. |
