Hi jhh: The Spanish translation on "Peter of [the] moonrise" is "Pedro de [la] salida de la luna". "salida de la luna" is Spanish for moonrise. See: http://www.iac.es/galeria/mrk/giacob.html "Pedro" is Spanish for Peter. "Paco" is a nickname for "Francisco" (which is Spanish for Frank). See: Latino Culture http://www.greenbeam.com/features/tour052200.stm All you wanted to know and never dared to ask about Spanish family names: http://www.stanford.edu/~molinero/html/surname.html Hope this helps. websearcher-ga Search Strategy: Used an online Spanish/English dictionary at: http://dictionaries.travlang.com/EnglishSpanish/ "salida de la luna" ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=%22salida+de+la+luna%22 spanish nicknames paco ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=spanish+nicknames+paco |
