The page pops up, or the search term in the search field? Also, which
browser and operating system are you using? Thanks!

I am going to assume that you're using Microsoft's Internet
Explorer... a safe bet in today's world. The feature that causes that
to happen is called "AutoComplete". It remembers things you have typed
into web pages before, in case you wish to enter the same information
in the future.

To find out how to delete the AutoComplete entries, you need to find
out which version of Internet Explorer you are using. You can do this
by clicking "Help" then "About". If you're using version 4,
instructions are here for clearing AutoComplete:

Q171230 - How to use the AutoComplete Feature in Internet Explorer 4

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q171230

If it's version 5 or 6, then this is the page for you:

Q217148 - How to use the AutoComplete Feature in Internet Explorer 5
and 6

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q217148&

I hope this solves your problem. If not, just post a request for
clarification with more information about your problem, and I'd be
glad to help.

Search strategy:

search for "autocomplete clear" on google.
