Hello

Airbags:

The 1989 Olds Cutlass Ciera did not have airbags. The Ciera didn't get
airbags until the 1993 model year.
Source: Consumer Guide
"1993: For 1993, a driver-side airbag becomes available for the first
time--standard on the SL and optional on the S."

For an additional reference on the airbag issue see this auto guide
hosted by Worldzone.net:

Weight:

The 1989 Ciera weighed in at 2,780 lbs.

The article is available for $2 from the Morning Call's archive.

(If you want to buy the article, select "January 1984 to present" and
enter "ciera" as the search term. The article is result #20, dated Aug
20, 1988)

The '89 weight is similar to the 1990 Ciera's weight of 2,764 lbs
mentioned on the well-known automotive site, Edmunds.com:
http://www.edmunds.com/used/1990/oldsmobile/cutlassciera/4drssedan/specs.html

The '90 Ciera apparently differed only slightly from the '89 model.

search strategy: oldsmobile, ciera, airbags, air bags, 89, 1989,
weight, lbs

I hope this helps.
