How can you add fonts to Hotmail? I want to use COMIC SANS and it's
not shown on most hotmail "Write EMAIL" or "COMPOSE" screens.

slykafox,
There is no way to "permanently" add Comic Sans to your Hotmail
account.
However, one way to work-around this is to compose your mail in MS
Word, using Comic Sans. Copy your message, and then open your Hotmail
Account.

Click into the body of the e-mail to get your blinking cursor. Using
the EDIT button on the toolbar at the top of the screen, click onto
Edit and then click onto PASTE.

Your message will be in Comic Sans, and will remain there after
sending it.

One caveat: The recipient of the e-mail will probably need to have
Comic Sans installed on their computer.

I just tried this method and it worked great. I do, obviously have
Comic Sans installed.

(You probably already know this, but a few fonts are included with
your Hotmail account. In the COMPOSE screen, look for the drop down
menu with "Tools" on it. Click the downward pointing arrow and click
onto RICH TEXT EDITOR. Make sure it says "ON". You'll get 7 choices,
and Comic Sans is not one of them!)

Please ask for an answer clarification before rating if this does not
do the trick for you!

crabcakes

You specifically said to compose in MS Word. I don't have Word and am
very happy with WordPerfect so I won't be buying Word (for $300+). Can
this be done in any other word processing program?

(I inadvertently placed an answer clarification in the comments line,
then copied and pasted the clarification into the clarification
line. Now the original answer clarification is gone --- this is the
second time I am responding to the clarification. You have already
rated the clarification, so I am merely re-adding the clarification so
as to close out this question) Glad you liked the clarified answer!)

Oh, absolutely.Word Perfect is a perfectly good program...this
procedure will work with ANY word processing program.....At work and
at home I am so used to Microsoft products, I forget at times there IS
life after Microsoft!

Any word processing program you have that has the font you want to use
will work. Just copy the text by highlighting it, right mouse-clicking
to get the menu that allows you to choose "Copy" . Click onto "Copy".
Then go into Hotmail, and click onto "Edit" on the toolbar ( right
mouse-clicking won't work here) and paste the text into the body of
your e-mail.

Another way to copy and paste is to highlight the text, then click
onto "Edit" in your word processing program, choose "Copy". (Thus
avoiding the right mouse click.....some people don't like to use the
right mouse button...personally I LOVE it.)
Hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, ask for another
clarification. Oh, remember, if the person to whom you are writing to
does NOT have Comic Sans, it MAY not work. You can try the procedure I
outlined, and ask that person to respond to your mail and let you know
if the Comic Font appeared. I believe it will, but can't be 100% sure.
I also think Comic Sans comes with Word Perfect...it does with Word,
which will guarantee that it will show up correctly if the person has
Word OR Word Perfect. (Usually anything cut and pasted WILL appear as
you want it to). Good Luck, crabcakes

The answer itself did not help me because he referred to a program to
use that I don't have. The answer, along with the clarification, is
wonderful.
Thanks
