My 20 year old daughter will soon be travelling home to Australia from
London and finds herself in the dilemma of being not overly flush with
funds and her accommodation arrangement is about to end. She is a
fastidious person, very respectful of other people and their property
and is very good with cats. Is there a reputable housesitting agency
that might take her on despite her age and the short term nature of
the sit -- only a couple of weeks? (She can't get a flight home before
Oct 19.)

Thanks for your comment, Ali. I'm still hopeful of a housesitting gig,
and just wonder if the short notice aspect might actually work in her
favour. (From around 4 Oct through 19 October - and not necessarily
London.) Does anyone out there in Google land have any leads to some
good, reputable housesitting agencies? What should we look for in
determining whether or not a housesitting agency is 'reputable'? I
appreciate your help.

Dear Stressedmum,
I have been looking and, unfortunately, it seems that there are many,
many people wanting to house-sit in London, so it's doubtful something
could be organised this quickly. Your daughter's best bet may be to
stay in a hostel or similar.
If you visit http://www.studios92.com there is quite a lot of
information about hostels, flat-shares, and budget hotels in London.
I hope this helps, if I see anything else I'll post it here.

Ali
