What is the market size for Seismic Exploration information sytems? 
In other words, what is the total revenue to vendors who provide
systems for this particular application?  I am trying to assess the
market opportunity for a provider of data storage solutions.

The market for Linux clusters and storage for Seismic
exploration/processing is "huge".  Sorry I don't know the exact number
 :)

I would highly recommend a data storage solution provider look
strongly at this market.  I can't think of many markets needing more
storage.

Current major players for storage: SGI, LSI, MetaStore, StorageTek,
BlueArk, and Netaps.

Currenty major players for clusters (x86 Linux):  IBM, Dell, RackSaver
