what are the best graduate design programs in the us/europe/japan in terms.

some of my main considerations are: 
• availability of  scholarships to international students
• strong academic and career support to students
• reputation of school

i am interested in these fields of design:
• information
• interface
• interaction
• communication

i am also interested in the same... and i think the following schools
have excellent courses.

Georgia Institute of Technology (Information Design Technology)

Entertainment Technology Center, Carnegie Mellon University

Rochester Institute of Technology, New York

MIT Media Lab

You might try cornell or any other ivy league colleges too, but the
whole approach becomes a bit technical. I rate ETC and MIT Media Lab
as one of the most exciting opportunites.
