What is the current population per state in Nigeria? Please include a
breakout of the capital city in each state as well.

According to the World  Factbook 2002,  the current population of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria 2001 is 126,635,626.

The Administrative divisions of Nigeria are divided in 36 states and 1
territory which are:

Abia, Abuja Federal Capital Territory*, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra,
Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti,
Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara,
Lagos, Nassarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers,
Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe, Zamfara

I found this answer to provide all of the information I requested. The
only thing that kept it from being a 5 star answer is the absence of a
summary chart that I could use directly. Otherwise this provided the
needed information
