How can I get a list of Registered Nurses in Decatur, Georgia?

I have heard back from the Georgia Board of Nursing with directions on
how to get a list of registered nurses in the state of Georgia.

The list is on CD-ROM, so you have to order it from the GBN.  It costs
$15.  You need to send your written request along with a check,
cashier's check, or money order to the following address:

Georgia Board of Nursing - RN
237 Coliseum Drive
Macon, GA  31217
ATTN:  Marsha Monk

They will send you the CD.  Note that this list contains ALL nurses in
Georgia, not just the ones in Decatur.  However, there is apparently a
location field in the list, so I'm sure you can sort it by area.

They do not have a list available on the Internet, nor do they know of
a location of such an online list.  As noted in my comment, I got this
information by emailing the Georgia Board of Nursing for help.  Good

   First off, if you have a specific nurse in mind and want to see if
he/she is registered, you can search by using this Georgia Secretary
of State page:
     https://secure.sos.state.ga.us/myverification/


Secondly, unfortunately it does not appear that you can find an online
listing of Georgia RN's. However; here is the page where you can
request a list from Georgia.  The qualifications for registered
nursing, a description, and other information are all available here
on the RN homepage.

According to the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations, there
were approximately 630 registered nurses working in the Decatur
metropolitan area in the year 2000.  You can probably understand that
not all of them will be listed online.  As starrebekah has noted
below, the Georgia Board of Nursing maintains the lists of registered
nurses in Georgia.  I am emailing the administrative assistant to the
Board to see if she is able to send you a list of nurses in the
Decatur MSA.  I'll let you know what I hear.
