What I am looking for is a CGI Tracking Script or a program that is similar to the system used on websites such as blink.com and My Points. Visitors to a web site register for a free account on the site and are given points for clicking on links, completing offers, etc. The points are tracked to the users account, which in turn can be redeemed for prizes/rewards. This needs to be a free or low cost script as I am a college student working on this as a school project. Any information or ideas you can supply would be greatly apprectiated. If you need more information or clarification on my question, please feel free to ask. I thank you in advance, and look forward to a reply. |

Try these sites: http://www.hotscripts.com http://sourceforge.net http://cgi.resourceindex.com/ You might want to try narrowing your search down to Perl or PHP. Looks like your trying to build some kind of web portal. Most web portal scripts require some kind of database to store user info in like mySQL. |

I have tried looking prior to posting this question without much luck. I would prefer a PERL script. The site itself is going to be a portal of sorts, however the script that I am looking for is more on the lines of an affiliate tracking script, but geared towards the average surfer where they are given points for visiting a site from the main site. Both the surfer/member and myself (the site admin) need to be able to track their point balance and outbound site activity. |
