Sorry, my English is poor. I try my best to ask the question I use windows 2000 and Outlook Express 6.0 I executed Outlook express today, and found my mails in the folder(A) are disappear. Last night, the mails in the folder(A) were okay. But i got a virus warning sent by Norton Antivirus 2002 When i got the warning message, i have chosen the "separate" function to avoid virus Now, mails are gone I check the size of the folder file (A.dbx) The size is not zero bytes. But I can't read the mails The mails are important for me Please recover mails for me. thank you very much I can mail you the file(a.dbx), plz give me your mail address p.s.windows 2000 traditional chinese version Best regards, | |

You might have an option that hides messages after you have read them. This occurred to a friend of mine. I don't know the exact method to change it. Maybe bobthedispatcher can give details. |

It sounds like your emails have been moved to a "quarantine" folder. Do a search for this folder, but first go to Windows Explorer>>Tools>>Folder Options then click on the view tab and chose to show ALL FILES so that you can check every directory. Also, Norton might have given you a completely different profile to log in as. My money is on the quarantine folder viewed only after you change your current view. |
