Dearesrt Ohio,

Are you using Bill Gates' lovely MS WORD program? If so, it is a known
annoyance, with a solution.

If this is happening when you browse the Web (rather than in a word
processor,) please let us know what browser you are using. Internet
Explorer tends to do this, and it's easy to change a setting so that
the browser won't try to read your mind.

You don't mention what program you are using,
try looking under Tools / Options / Configuration /Properties
or something similar -
Then see if there is a section called Editing / Compose / Spelling or
something like that
Now look for Auto-Complete (or somethinng similar)
and set it to NO or uncheck it

Works for many programs
