Hi twerp-ga and thank you for the question. "Extradition to the United States in the absence of treaties. The lack of an extradition treaty has not hampered extradition to the United States in the case of drug offences. One country not maintaining any formalized extradition arrangements with the United States is the Republic of the Philippines. Countries with no extradition treaties with the United States:" Afghanistan Algeria Angola Bahrain Bangladesh Benin Bhutan Botswana Brunei Burkina Faso Burundi Cambodia Cameroon Cape Verde Central African Republic Chad China Comoros Djibouti Equatorial Guinea Ethiopia Gabon Guinea Guinea Bissau Indonesia Iran Ivory Coast Jordan Kuwait Laos Lebanon Libya Madagascar Mali Maldives Mauritania Mongolia Morocco Mozambique Nepal Niger Oman Philippines Qatar Rwanda Samoa Sao Tome e Principe Saudi Arabia Senegal Somalia Sudan Syria Togo Tunisia Uganda USSR United Arab Emirates Vanuatu Vietnam Yemen Yemen South Zaire Zimbabwe" http://216.239.53.100/search?q=cache:YsByrb0zDiIC:www.drugtext.org/articles/912612.htm++%22not+have+extradition+treaties%22++but+do+maintain+diplomatic+%22+&hl=pt&ie=UTF-8 (The above site is only available in the Google cache) ----------------------------------------------------------- Also see: "UNITED NATIONS CRIME AND JUSTICE INFORMATION NETWORK" "BILATERAL AGREEMENTS ON EXTRADITION, JUDICIAL/LEGAL ASSISTANCE, CONTROL OF NARCOTIC DRUGS, AND PRISONER TRANSFER BY COUNTRY" http://www.uncjin.org/Laws/extradit/extindx.htm (Click on the country name for information regarding treaties it holds) ------------------------------------------------------------- Also you might be interested in: "REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL EXTRADITION SUBMITTED TO THE CONGRESS PURSUANT TO SECTION 211 OF THE ADMIRAL JAMES W.
