Dear Mcgruter,

One of the best places on line to search for individual programs of
study is Petersons Education Portal at www.petersons.com.

Click on "Graduate Program Search." From here you can do a general
program search for graduate education programs, or you can do a
content search for "Master of Arts in Teaching English." When I tried
it, I came up with a list of 570 programs. At this point, you will
probably want to click on the "Advanced Search" option in order to
narrow it down a bit (some of the results simply had all of those
words in them, but not necessarily appearing together).

In the "Containing all of the words" field enter "English" (without
the quotes) and in the "Containing this exact phrase" field enter
"Master of Arts in Teaching" (without the quotes).

This will narrow down the search to 74 programs, all of which offer
that degree. This is probably a pretty comprehensive list.

Another good site is Gradschools.com at www.gradschools.com. Over on
the left of the screen under "Students" click on "Search for Graduate
Programs." Click on "Education" and then "Teaching English." You can
then view programs by state, distance learning programs, programs
outside the USA, and Certificate Programs. However, you will have to
browse through the programs, because some are Master of Arts in
Teaching, and some are Master of Education.

You might also check your local library. They will have directories
such as the College Blue Books and the Petersons guides which list
colleges by degree programs, along with descriptions, etc.

But for online, I tend to think Petersons has the best information,
since they are so well-known and have been publishing education
directories for so long. And because of their popularity, most
colleges and universities want to have their programs listed in there.

Hope this helps! If you need any further clarification, I'd be happy
to give it.
