Hello. The name of the show was "Wildcat." The lyricist was Carolyn Leigh. The song you remember was called "Hey, Look Me Over!" The original show starred Lucille Ball. Here's the listing of the CD on Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000003EZ9/ Eur.com has more information about the musical. http://www.eur.com/musicals/rec.cfm?TNumber=691&RNumber=1256 Internet Broadway database also has a listing: http://www.ibdb.com/production.asp?ID=2280 For the lyrics to the song "Hey, Look Me Over," visit any of the following pages: Seattle Rotary Club: http://www.emeraldcityrotary.org/songbook/Hey%20Look%20Me%20Over.htm A messageboard page cached by Google: http://216.239.53.100/search?q=cache:60Drxq1_NZsC:www.radio.cbc.ca/programs/collect/wwwboard/messages/52.html+%22hey+look+me+over%22&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&client=googlet Or a fan page on geocities.com featuring background music: http://www.geocities.com/Broadway/Alley/8212/heylook.html search strategy: "up like a rosebud high," "carolyn leigh", wildcat I hope this helps. |
