After starting preliminary research I have a number of questions:

-Are you interested in statistics globally, or in a specific country
(i/e: the United States)?
-Are you interested in banrd name use or generic drugs as well? What
about St. John's Wort?
-Are you interested in just outpatient therapy?

I only ask these questions because medical statistics tend to be very
very specific.

The fastest way to obtain statistical data to all three of your
questions is to go to the Regional Alcohol and Drug awareness sites
and they in turn will take you to other resources with Community
alcohol and drug or substance abuse resources. They study all of
these things and compile data by state and National. They have the
internet site they utilize Known as RADAR for their up to the moment
data resouce. If you call your local goverment agency of Office of
Subsatnce Abuse they have data on all that material and also when the
different groups meet and where as well as the rest of the rules like
smoking or known smoking. Hope this helps.

Sorry I forgot to add that the Offices's of Substance Abuse also does
free research for you as well as have VHS tapes on these addictions
and loan them to Schools and other reputable people at no or little
cost depending on where you request them from. They also have
Libraries and resouces with the goverment agencies to find your
answers. They usually always have an 800 toll free line also. What a
GREAT Resource for anyone to have at their finger tips. Almost as good
as the web !. They even have data on Violence, Sex, Traffic
Safety,Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia and other abuses.
