I need a converter to convert RS232 OR TTL asynchronous serial (i.e. the DB9 on your computer) to wireless 802.11b. Support for 802.11g is good but it must support 802.11b to be backwards compatible with existing networks. The converter must support WEP 128bit and 64bit encryption, ideally WPA too. It must include a power supply compatible with USA 120V 60Hz. It must cost less than $75 in single quantities. A sample (single quantity) must be available for delivery within 2 weeks from ordering. It must be new and not used or surplus. It may be an OEM style module (bare circuit board) or an enclosed device. An antenna must come with it, or you must find an antenna for me that I can purchase for delivery within two weeks. The antenna cost is included in the $75. There must be some kind of english speaking (or email reading) technical contact. For every dollar below $75 that the device with antenna and power supply costs meeting the above criteria costs, you will get a tip of $2. An example of an enclosed converter: http://www.neteon.net/prod.asp?clvl=4&c1=1&c2=69&c3=98&p=116 I think its very likely that there are chinese or taiwanese manufactures of oem serial to 802.11 converters fitting this description. Good luck! | |
