Bill22-ga,
Thanks for such an interesting (and challenging) question.
Getting numbers for Starbucks' overall energy usage at their US stores
is pretty tricky, but with some careful collection of data, and a bit
of manipulation, I can give you a pretty good overview of their energy
use.
The best and most recent numbers that I came across are these:

Starbucks Energy and Water Reporting
You may have to squint to make out the numbers here, but from the
chart you can see the following usage numbers for 2003 in their US
stores:
--Gas use: .05 therms per square foot
--Electricity use: 5.84 kilowatt-hours (KWh)per square foot.
Of course, this is energy use per square foot, so it doesn't tell us
overall use for all their US stores.

More information on their energy usage can be found here:
http://www.epa.gov/greenpower/partners/top25.htm
Green Power Partnership
where the table tells us that Starbucks has committed to using 'green
electricity' for 20% of their electricity use at stores:
--Green Power Usage (MWh) -- 150,000
--% of Total Electricity -- 20%
Here's a bit more of a write-up on their green energy commitment:
http://www.epa.gov/greenpower/partners/partners/starbucks.htm
...Starbucks also joined the Green Power Partnership and committed to
purchase enough green power to cover 5 percent of their retail energy
needs in North America, cutting CO2 emissions by 2 percent. Expanding
on the success of its commitment in 2005, Starbucks has increased its
green power commitment to 20 percent in 2006.

Using these numbers, we can calculate as follows:
Since 150,000 MWh is 20% of total retail (store) electricity use, we
can calculate the total usage as:
150,000 x 5 = 750,000 MWh of electricity usage per year (in North
America, though by far the largest portion of this is in the US).
We know from the first graph that they use, on average, 5.84 KWh per
square foot, so we can calculate:
750,000 MWh / 5.84 KWh per sq ft = 128.4 million sq ft of retail store space.
Since they use 0.05 therms of gas per square foot, then total annual gas usage is:
128.4 million x 0.05 = 6,420,000 therms of gas.
In sum, North American energy use for Starbucks retail stores is estimated at:
--750,000 MWh of electricity
--6.42 million therms of gas
These are annual numbers. On a daily basis, we can simply divide by 365:
--2055 MWh of electricity per day
--17,589 therms of gas per day
