I was wondering whether the creation, purchase, or viewing of
pornography was legal in turkey, and whether attitudes to pornography
changed after the formation of the secular turkish republic?

It's not legal to creation  , to sell and broadcasting on TV
pornographic film in  Turkey.Not all pornography stuff illegal. Only
film forbidden. You can watch pornographic film on in code TV canal.

Pornography is not illegal in Turkey. You can purchase and view
pornographic films, magazines or even tools from the video or erotic
shops. Moreover, it is not illegal to create pornographic films if the
people sign a contract and above 18 years old. However, nowadays
secularism in Turkey is in great danger because of the current leading
party in Turkey and there are prohibitions in pornography, alcohol
etc.
