I would ultimately like to know the salaries of the faculty, staff, and administration at my local community college. I know that Google Answers will not post personal information about specific individuals, so I will ask this: In which specific publication (or specific website) can I find the salary information of the faculty, staff, and administration at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, WI? (If the salaries are not posted anywhere on the Internet, I would like to know where (specifically) I could find a hard copy of this information). Moreover, where can I find salary information for any person employed by a Wisconsin technical college? FYI - I am a local taxpayer, and I know I have the right to this information, but even my local librarian couldn't find the answer for me. Good luck, Researcher, and thanks in advance. |

This is private information. Although they are state employees, you don't have the right to know how much they make, because, frankly, it is none of your business. You do, however, have the right to complain if they are not doing their jobs (because they ARE paid by taxes). |

Thanks for your comment, but I have to respectfully disagree with you. The college I attended (not the one I'm currently concerned about) had a student-run newspaper that once published all the salaries of the faculty (much to the faculty's dismay) because it was public information and the newspaper throught they would ruffle some feathers. And even though it may not have been anyone's business, it was still their right to know because they were payed, at least partially, by taxpayers. Right now I can look up any salary of an administrator in the k-12 system in Wisconsin; I found that information online, so I know the information is out there somewhere, I just don't know where. |
