I'm trying to make a finance analysis for Darden Restaurants, Inc. I
need information about the main ratios and how they compare to the
industry average. I have never done something like this, so I am
really trying to understand it and so far I am lost in all the
numbers.

What kind ofa fiancial analysis? Are you looking at profitabilty or market share?

There are several industry guides out there to use that will have
combiled information for you (including many, many ratios for Darden
itself and all of its major competitors). A good library (i.e. a
University Library should have them on the self or an online
subscription)

i.e.look for the Standard and Poors Restuarant Industry Guide (October 27, 2005)

I am doing just the basic ratios like asset turnover, ROE, profit
margin, financial leverage. And I want to find the industry
average(for the main competitors like Aplebees) so I can compare it. I
am not sure how to interpret them, like what results are favorable for
the restaurant industry.

Bibby28 --

A good place to start with reference statistics for the restaurant
industry is Bizstats:

Is there a site with the calculated ratios for three years or should I
calculate them myself and if so is there a guidance.
