How can I convert my 1930s Singer sewing machine desk (no. 42) to use
with my modern Brother sewing machine?  I think I need to make some
sort of insert so my macine can fit flush? I do have the original
Singer, but it's in need of major repairs and I fell in love with the
cabinet. I have photos to send if that helps. This is the cabinet

This is just a free comment.
I think that you are going to need a cabinet maker, regardless of what
we can suggest  - even with pictures.
