Is it OK if the consultant is actually a "consultancy" or company/firm
comprised of one or more consultants?

Please let me know if the following appears to be along the lines you're seeking:

Marketingprofs.com appears to be an excellent resource for finding
thousands of marketing professions/professors of all different types
of backgrounds. These are some of the best in the world, representing
dozens of the most prestigious companies in various industries. You
can search their member directory and contact members without
incurring a referral or search fee from the site, and you can also
post questions within their forums, visible by many participating
consultants (this may be ideal for someone with prolific ideas needing
business advice). Additionally, you may join their website and gain
access to premium content for a fee.

For example, using their directory search, I came up with dozens of
potential consultants to contact. You can typically see a "Click to
email" link on the left side, or a web link on the left or in the
profile description. Here are just six of them:

Harry Viens

Joseph Mann

David Nathan

Here is a firm I discovered, which appears to be an individual rather
than a consultancy:

American Consulting Group

Ithaca, NY 14850
Clients include: Akzo Nobel, AT&T, Lockheed-Martin, Newtex
Corporation, Toshiba, Verizon

business advice.

I'm going to post this as an answer, as I do believe this information
to fit your original description. If you need any additional
clarification or information, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank
you.

Hello -

I'm sorry you're disappointed with my answer.

In the future, please ask for clariification before you rate an
answer, so that a researcher has the opportunity to emend the answer
to your satisfaction. When an answer is rated, the question is
effectively closed.
However, I will continue to work on this answer for you to see if we
can make it into something you're satisfied with.

I located MarketingProfs after investigating some other options,
including calling a marketing association. MarketingProfs is
essentially an exhaustive database of marketers that have real world
degrees and vocational experience. After reviewing the links I
posted, in light of your comments, I did indeed find each consultant
to be a representative from a "company." My apologies for this, but
it does appear the vast majority of marketing consultants are part of
some sort of group, or operate under some sort of "company name" even
if working as individuals. You will see in the same column the
company is listed, an indication of "independent contractor" as how
they wish to be classified, however.

In regards to the quality of the links themselves, if you could please
elaborate? I found, for example, on the first link, Harry Viens has
20 years of experience with clients such as Gillette, Duracell,
Verizon Wireless, Black & Decker, Saab, Delphi, Bruegger's, Cookson,
Konica, Polaroid, Beretta USA. Joseph Mann has worked with AT&T
Wireless, Quest Diagnostics, Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals, and Xylos
Corp. Those are some of the highest profile companies in the world.
You are at the top of your game to be working with such firms. In
what ways are they not sufficient for your purposes?

Thank you,

jbf777

In addition, I found MarketingProfs to be a completely different site
from AskAnExpert.com. MarketingProfs is more of a central catalogue
of "mini resumes" in a sense, of people with serious real-world
degrees and experience. AskAnExpert seems to be Q&A service with
unscreened experts who have self-professed expertise on any possible
topic.

(that should read: MarketingProfs is more of a central catalogue
of "mini resumes" in a sense, of people with serious real-world
degrees and experience *specifically in marketing*).
dillonthomas-ga rated this answer:1 out of 5 stars
was expecting better quality marketers/business advisors.... results
came from simple search...
i clicked on the links to the "marketers the answerer suggested"
earlier on, the answerer asked if he could give me companies over individuals.
i asked for individuals however many of the links were marketing firms...
however what is more important is the links themselves: a majority of
the links were from "marketingprofs.com" in the question i stated i
didnt want answers from sites like that
eg:askanexpert.com.....marketingprofs is basically one of those
sites...when i clicked on the websites to the 5 marketers the answerer
suggested, all the websites were of the standard of a "clickbank"
site, none looked like people id give my money to.....even one of them
was from the results page from the search of "marketers that made over
100 million USD a year" hardly with a clickbank quality
website....previous questions have been very good, disappointed this
time,
please note, more than likely this answerer has given excellent
answers to the majority of questions but it didnt seem they understood
their way around searching for marketers.
thanks :)

I work with marketing of guerrilla in Brazil. We could for experience
purposes discuss a case. With little investment and a good idea we
could launch a great campaing of marketing. For example in England, a
advertiser exibited at night using a retroprojector, images of girls
using lingerie on the walls of a building on the english parlament.
The image was visible from a long distance and all the newspapers
exibited this headline that ended up promoting the runway show in
prime time (being news in ther papers) and without paying (that would
be almost a fortune in this time of day).
