Question ID: 701646
I recently purchased a new car. I made a large down payment. I now
wish i would have just gotten something cheap and saved my money. The
check I wrote hasn't been processed yet, but I signed all the
paperwork. What would happen if I put a stop payment on the check and
didn't pay my car note? Or can I "return" the car? It doesn't say
anything about that on the paperwork. I don't mind my credit looking
bad for doing this. I am not looking for a house or a new car, and
probably wouldn't buy either one for 10 more years. So, if defaulting
on payment wouldn't land me in jail or with a fine, I would like to
get out of this.

Thanks alot for all suggestions.

Oh yeah. I bought the car about 3 days ago from a dealership in GA.
